Lesson 27: God’s Grace
God’s grace, which has been revealed to all men, is the love he showed us in Jesus Christ while we were yet sinners and his enemies, and by which we are saved apart from any moral achievements or religious acts on our part. This grace teaches us that our salvation should produce a life of good works. This grace teaches us to say no to un-Godliness, to being disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all sorts of worldly desires, and to live lives which are self- controlled, upright, and Godly as we await Christ’s return. Christ gave himself in order to purify for himself a people of his own, anxious to do what is right. Our salvation involves two works: freeing us from guilt and judgment, and creating in us moral purity and useful service to others.
