Lesson 19: All That God Has Done for Us
Since you have received Christ continue to grow in him, being rooted and built up in him, growing in the faith you have been taught and giving thanks to God. God in all his fullness dwells in Christ and we have completeness in Christ. We have been redeemed from our sinful nature and from spiritual death; we were buried with Christ in baptism and are raised with him by our faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead. God forgave us our sins; when we were dead in our sins God made us alive with Christ. The accusation of the law against us has been cancelled – nailed to the cross. We are no longer under the dominion of evil spirit beings for God has disarmed and defeated them. We needn’t feel overwhelmed by satan because Christ defeated him and his cohorts and his eventual end is certain.
